Is it a health product or a CSD? We think it's not terribly good at either. Since it has elements of a CSD and has less aloe vera than aloe vera juice (found in health food stores), it will alienate the health-foods consumer and the very fact that it uses aloe vera will probably alienate most CSD drinkers. This being said, aloe vera doesn't seem like a particularly attractive additive, unless the mass media embraces it wholeheartedly. Anyway, on to the drink. It has a peachy flavor which might make it a little easier to drink, assuming you like peach flavor, and it wisely uses crystalline fructose as its sweetener. The peach flavor is pretty weak but fairly accurate – but the wild card here is the use of aloe vera powder as a flavoring. The stuff adds four grams of protein per serving, which cuts the sweetness with a spicy, vegetable-like note. The unfortunate side effect, however, is that it’s very drying. Overall, this product is mediocre in terms of refreshment and we have serious doubts when it comes to marketability.
