AMP Energy Shot: Jakfruit Citrus

BevNET Review: Pepsi's entry into the shot category comes in the form of a "jakfruit citrus" flavored shot. While we can't say it tastes like jackfruit (maybe that's why they omitted the C in jackfruit?), it's a pleasant taste that's got enough flavor to mask the flavor of the caffeine (80mg) that's inherent in most shots. It's sugar based, which gives it a decent amount of sweetness and a modest 40 calories per bottle 2 oz bottle. On the other hand, label design is something that could use improvement. It's a rather unimpressive looking product, especially when comparing it against the other mainstream players that have gone into the shot category. Overall, it's not bad, but we think they can do more with it.
