With a clear ethnic theme that incorporates soccer and the colors of the Mexican flag, Andale is an energy drink whose target is rather straightforward. However, what’s inside the can, which is an agave, fructose, sugar, and sucralose sweetened formulation, leaves something to be desired. The flavor is extremely sweet, to the tune of 240 calories and 56g of sugar per can, and the energy drink flavor is pretty much your run of the mill energy flavor (the same can be said for the functional ingredients). So, if you aren’t buying this drink for flavor, then it must be for the packaging, right? The thing is -- who is this product for? Consumers at an ethnic market or value-priced consumers seem to be the likely match for the "in your face" look of this can. From a technical point of view, we see a pretty big issue with the extremely minimal variation between this can and the “low-carb.” Otherwise, toning the brand down and making it feel more serious would help this drink a lot. Overall, Andale is just a middle of the road energy drink in our eyes.
