Antioxidant Daily Shot

BevNET Review: Unlike most other shots that we've tried, this one is not an energy shot. Instead, it's designed to load you up with antioxidants, surpassing what you'd get from several pieces of fruit and vegetables (there's a full disclosure diagram on the back of the package). Flavoring this drink are several fruit juices, including mangosteen, pomegranate, guava, mango, and mangosteen rind extract (xanthones). What you end up with tastes like a mellow shot of tropical fruit flavor. Since there's no added sugar or filler juice, it's got a mellow level of sweetness. Really, the flavor of this shot is so enjoyable that we'd love to drink it in a larger format. Packaging is on par with other "shot" drinks, using a slim 3.38 ounce container that's been decked out with tiny pictures of fruit. We'd love to see more emphasis on these elements as well as the actual juice content, which currently isn't listed on the bottle. Overall, we like the simplicity of the product as well as the enjoyable flavor, but the positioning and branding of the drink run the risk of blending in with all of the medicinal products that it competes with.Reviewed on: 9/29/2008
