BevNET Review: Appletiser, which is imported from South Africa, is a high quality beverage that's made with 100% carbonated apple juice. The flavor is simple, but extremely enjoyable, delivering a high quality apple juice flavor that's clean from start to finish. However, it's a bit on the sweet side, packing 37g of carbohydrates into the 9.2 fl oz bottle. On the packaging front, we like the look of the pear shaped green glass bottle and it definitely has a premium feeling to it. However, the vertical text is a bit hard on the eyes, so we'd suggest putting an additional horizontally placed "Appletiser" tag somewhere on the front panel. Overall, an extremely enjoyable product that looks much better in glass than the old can-based format.Reviewed on: 7/2/2008

BevNET Review: Peartiser is 100% sparkling pear juice, which translates into a rather enjoyable product. The flavor is very natural tasting, with big pear flavor throughout the body of the product -- a true testament to simple often times being better. Packaging is good, but they could certainly improve the readability of the logo. Furthermore, it's not obvious what the overarching brand is between the flavors (are they all Appletiser?), which could be a point of confusion at the retail level. BevNET Review: The red grape version of Grapetiser delivers a full bodied grape flavor that tastes much more natural than most American grape flavored beverages (Grapetiser is from South Africa). Like the other flavors of the lineup, this one is clean and crisp, with just the right amount of carbonation to accent the bold flavor of the grape. On the outside, we like the sophisticated and polished look, but, like the other flavors, the vertical script text is hard to read. This leaves you wondering what the product is, plus it draws the eye away from the horizontal subtext that's on the bottom of the label. Great flavor and concept, but needs some tweaking on the label and logo design.Reviewed on: 7/2/2008

BevNET Review: Generally speaking, when we see a product that's advertised as "white grape juice" we think about cheap filler juice. Clearly that's not how things are done in South Africa, because Appletiser's white grape "Grapetiser" has a complex and fruity grape flavor that you won't find in any other white grape product. The product has a very fresh taste to it, while the carbonation helps add a level of sophistication that we typically wouldn't find in something as pedestrian as grape soda or juice. Label design and type treatment remains the biggest issue for the drink, which is more of an issue with readability than overall aesthetic appeal (which we think it has plenty of).
