With the number of PH waters coming to market rapidly increasing, AquaHydrate, which has been on the market for a few years now, has given itself a visual and messaging overhaul. The new look has a modern look, straddling “sporty” and “hip” and doing it pretty well. In addition, the cylindrical bluish PET bottle (which comes in several different sizes) has some visual pop when standing next to the clear bottles that makes up most of the category. Most of all, we like that the vibe of the brand is neither pharmaceutical (as some of the alkalized water brands are) nor filled with the ubiquitous pictures of mountains and springs that litter the bottled water category. Beyond that, they’ve changed their messaging, focusing on the “PH9+”, electrolytes, and “supercharged hydration” tagline. This seems much more mainstream than the word “alkalized” and the mineral content that they were previously promoting on the front of the bottle. Overall, this is a very nice update for the brand.
