AriZona Green Tea Energy Drink: Pomegranate (Lite)

Pomegranate (Lite)

BevNET Review: There's a lot going on in this package -- green tea, energy, pomegranate, carbonation, "lite" formulation (if 140 calories is truly “lite’) -- but AriZona successfully pulls it off. Using a base of green tea, AriZona's bread and butter product, they've added a tart shot of pomegranate flavor to the mix (using a 5 percent juice blend). The pomegranate flavor serves the dual purpose of giving the drinker a delicious fruit flavor and, with the help of the carbonation, it hides the artificial sweetener and energy flavors. AriZona has really nailed the formulation of this product, resulting in something that is extremely drinkable and addictive, whether you like diet drinks or not. The packaging is AriZona standard fare, which has Chinese styling and the easily recognizable AriZona logo. It might not be the prettiest can we've ever seen, but AriZona's logo gives it instant credibility, especially when using green tea as a base. Overall, this is a well-executed product that could potentially be one of the surprise hits of the energy drink category.

I had not realized this product had been discontinued. I thought my retailer was just unreceptive to my "special requests". I agree wholeheartedly with the other postings-sadly from 2010- That this was a delicious drink. And I also hope they bring it back.

I discovered Arizona Green Tea Pomegranate Lite when it was first sold as a 4-pack on the shelf at Publix. Instant Love!! The ONLY energy drink I have ever been able to drink. I then discovered it was only available,as a single can, in the refridgerated Arizona Coolers in the store. (The price went up.) My neighborhood market started to carry it. (More expensive than Publix.) I continued to buy it for my mmid-afternoon energy boost.(I work at a school.)After keeping my local market in business with a purchase and "hello" every morning, I was told it had been discontinued!!! Why?? The information the store manager received was that Arizona Ice Tea decided it was too expensive to produce. When I was paying $1.99 per can at Publix and $2.50 at my local market, I question the validity of this. However, Arizona should re-think their decision to discontinue this beverage. (I've gone so far as to contact a friend in Huron, SD to send me some, as it was available in their school vending machine!)

Ok...some of you may laugh and I really don't care... this Pomegranate Energy drink has been a life saver for me. I am pre-menopausal and it has truly helped with the mood swings and lack of energy. Not to mention not having to take any cancer causing hormones! PLEASE put it back on the store shelves....It's medicinal. ;)

Please bring this back to the stores!!

For the last 2 years, I've seen this product dwindle from stores, and now I'm told it's discontinued! WTH? Every Publix that sold this in FL couldn't keep it on the shelves, and convenient stores were special ordering cases for customers (including myself). I have tried tons of energy drinks, prior to this one and after... none compare in taste. I see that Arizona has a new energy drink - but it includes High Fructose, so I won't buy it. It makes no sense why this one was removed. It sold well in central and south FL. Obviously - due to the numerous results (google search) like this one, there are many die-hard fans of this one energy drink. Now lost. Arizona, please bring it back!

As a cardiac patient I am enrolled in cardiac rehibilitation class which include excerise and nutrition. During one of our wednesday classes we were told about antioxident and the nutrition value that they play, it was then that I was introduced to your product arizona green tea pomgrante and regular green tea. The class laughed and we name it our "tea sip" instead of a "wine sip"(referring to our college days). Thank you for making a bad experience(heart attack) for pleasureful we cannot get enough of your products. Mrs. L. Logan West Virginia

Singlehandedly responsible for me finishing my thesis

I'm a grad student with a very high tolerance to caffeine. I generally drink energy drinks out of necessity, rather than for enjoyment. This is the first energy drink that I can say I honestly enjoy the flavor. The pomegranate seems to blend and mute the strength of the herbal energy components (this seems common among all the pomegranate flavored beverages, including Rockstar and others). What sets Arizona's lite pomegranate apart is the fairly light application of flavors. If you think most energy drinks are too syrupy-sweet (most sodas too, for that matter) then this is the drink for you. I realize that the herbal and energy content of this drink is basically the same as all the others out there. For some reason, I seem to consistently get more of a boost out of this one than I do any others, maybe it's the green tea, who knows. All I am sure of is that I would never have finished my master's thesis without these babies.
