BevNET Review: Rx Energy is an interesting concoction that features a variety of different flavors -- including green trea, tropical & citrus flavors, ginseng, and guarana. We find this beverage somewhat refreshing, but it tastes a bit syrupy. In addition, this product suffers from a slightly caffeine-like aftertaste. Overall, an acceptable product, but it could use improvement in the taste area.

miracle in a can

This is by far the greatest invention the world has ever seen. I'm convinced that it was godsent not only because of the angelic chorus I hear everytime I pop open a can, but because a messenger of God came to me in a dream and said to me, "Yay Bryan... The Lord says come hither and suckle from this golden rx maiden... And from it you will survive... Never needing any other beverage again because this is godsent-" that's how I knew... "Now go forth and spread the good news!" And with those last words I did. All of my friends drink it now. I was even stabbed once... And just by pouring a little rx into the wound- it miraculously healed before my eyes in seconds! The doctors compared the elixirs results to that of chuck norris's spit- differing only in that the rx still left a scar.

PR cult favorite

I was introduced to this drink as a tradition held by one of my fellow cross country team members who held a belief that it was a sort of PR(Personal Record) good luck charm. He said that the energy in it gave a nice kick and it had a great taste to it to. As a result, I thought I should give it a try, so I bought one and drank it before a track meet. The citrus flavor was quite nice, and it tasted a bit like oranges mixed with mango. The 99 cent price was also a favorable draw and it did seem to give a little boost to the legs. I must admit though; it was by far no where comparable to coffee. In any event, it has kept a huge reputation amoung my fellow team members who all agree that the citrus taste is one of a kind. You will many times find hundred of these cans scattered across team members cars and many swear by the energy properties for that PR boost.

Great

Great taste, tons of energy, without the shakes, its much bigger than most energy drinks, and at 99 cents, go ahead and buy 2 of them, it's still cheaper than red bull.

Arizona Rx Energy

Arizona Rx Energy is one of the better "energy" drinks on the market. It has a orange/mango flavor to it, its good either cold or warm, and doesn't taste like cough syrup. Another benefit of Rx Energy is that you don't recieve the "spike" or the "crash" that one may feel from other energry drinks. Instead, the consumer has a sustained feeling of energy. From personal experience, Rx Energy yields the best results when followed up by at least 64oz of water over a period of time to maintain the body's hydration levels. I would highly reccomend this product to anyone who needs a quick 'pick-me-up' in the morning, or sustained energy throughout the day.

Anyone remember Surge?

It did taste similar to Surge citrus soda. Its a good thing too because I cant find Surge anymore. RX Energy seems to have a noticeable grapefruit flavor with lemon. As for the energy boost, I didn't drink enough to judge. The bottle doesn't list the quantity of each energizing ingredient, but it has caffeine, ginseng, guarana + other good for you things. I enjoyed the flavor of this citrus soda more than any mass production ones(7-up, Squirt, Sprite, Sierra Mist, Mountain Dew).
