BevNET Review: Despite the energy drink boom that's been happening for the past decade, caffeinated water, which had its heyday in the early 1990's, never really took off. But a lot has changed in the almost twenty years since this concept first came to market — and Avitae has made a solid entry to prove it. Inside the bottle, you have 16.9 oz. of water and 45mg of caffeine (ounce per ounce, that's about 25 percent of what you'll find in your typical energy drink). The water itself isn't anything special — it very much tastes just like your average bottle of purified water, although there is what appears to be the slightest bit of taste left behind by the bottle. For us, it's the bottle that really makes this product. It's simple and clean looking, with a pyramid shape to the bottle helping to make the product memorable and nice looking in your hand. Overall, Avitae has almost everything that you could ask for from a caffeinated water. Definitely one of the best that we've sampled. Reviewed on: 11/23/2010
