Made with 10 percent juice, including pear, apple, mango and peach, and sweetened with a blend of high fructose corn syrup, honey, and Splenda, AZ Energy has a pleasant tasting, almost tropical flavor, with the fruit helping to mask the flavors of the Splenda and functional ingredients. There’s no tea in the mix, which is something that one might expect from Arizona. Plus, we’re left feeling like the flavor of this product isn’t overly exceptional compared to the countless other juice enhanced energy drinks out there. Functionally, the product has 100mg of caffeine, 1000mg of taurine, vitamin C, B vitamins, ginseng, L-carnitine, guarana, glucuronolactone, and milk thistle. Like most energy drinks the caffeine punch is what you’re going to feel – and this product has a fair amount of it. Packaging has an urban feel to it, with a graffiti backdrop and a crown placed on top of the AZ logo. However, it’s not easy to tell what the product is going to taste like since there’s no mention of flavor on the front of the can. Overall, it tastes good, it has kick, and a nice looking can, but it certainly could use something a bit more innovative in the mix.
