BevNET Review: If we have ever had a beverage that tastes just like bubble gum, this is it. Big Red has a light and sweet flavor, which tastes quite artificial. At least the beverage was not overly syrupy. This beverage is acceptable, but you can do much better if you are looking for a decent gourmet soda.

awesome soda

I would like to take this time to thank the fine men and women in Waco Tx. that produce such a wonderful product. I live in Indiana and grew up drinking Big Red soda. It tastes great. It is especially good with vanilla icecream on a hot day. The Big Red float is a classic taste that all should try. While going to college in North Dakota I went without Big Red for several months at a time. I decided to take a few cases back to school with me after a Christmas break one year. I gave it to my closest friends and fraternity brothers. Most loved the taste and asked where they could buy it. I told them I had not seen it in North Dakota yet, but if they wanted some I would bring it back to them after my next road trip home. I always brought Big Red back to school every break. It is funny what you miss when you go away from home and cant get it. Thank you.

Best Soda In Texas

I love big red, I can't find diet big red here in th LA area. We have regular all over Southern Calif. NO DIET.

LOVE IT!

ive loved big red my whole life, only downside is they dont sell it in VA!! they really should sell it everywhere. no one can ever tell the flavor, we just know its delicious!!! everytime we go out of state, or someone comes here, we get some. its that good.

Big Red, You either love it or hate it. I Love It!

I was born and raised in southern Indiana across from Louisville, Ky. I started drinking Big Red in the late 1940s when we called in "cream soda," there were no labels on the bottles. I have lived in New Jersey, California, Oklahoma, and Florida where Big Red was not available. My father, on his semiannual visits to my family would bring two 12 pack of Big Red. About 5 years ago Big Red came to Tampa. Now my 6 year old granddaughter loves it but my 10 year old grandson does not.

NOTHING COMPARES TO BIG RED

I grew up in Texas and was raised drinking BIG RED... There is no other drink like it... I moved to NYC 8 yrs ago where it is not sold... So for the last 8 yrs I have been shipping this red pleasure to NYC... Now the problem is that all my friends are hooked on the drink and I keep running... lol... Erica

Easy to find in Jax, Florida...

You can find this all over the Wal-Marts, gas stations, and even some bookstores in plastic bottle form. Me, I'm a diehard blue cream fan, down with red cream, down with BigRed. :p Ok, it's not horrible...but it just doesn't do it for me....I even like green cream better.. (it does exist)..

We have it in Des Moines, IA

This is available in Des Moines, IA and environs. In fact, I just saw Big Red, Big Pineapple, and Big Peach at a local supermarket recently. I like it, it isn't quite cream, not bubble gum exactly. I think bubble gum is to soda pop what chicken is to describing the taste of lizard and gator and such (though I'm a vegetarian, lol), it's the flavour we think of for generically sweet and creamy. Big Red is a bit like the Vess Cream I grew up with in the St. Louis area, only perhaps a bit more tart, and of course, not as magenta, nothing not nuclear could be. I think it's a great alternative to other cream sodas, especially since I was weaned on red cream, not white/amber. For those who keep track, we have it here in 12 can fridgepacks, and some petrol stations have it in 16 oz (or maybe 20, I forget now) individual plastic bottles.
