BevNET Review: Starting on the outside, Bite Me Energy looks and feels like many energy drinks that have come before it. Using hyperbole such as "“energy with attitude”," “"warning extremely potent!" and “"chill me, lick me, bite me”," the product utilizes a familiar, aggressive tone that’ is clichéd for energy drinks. To that end, Bite Me is a forgettable product, failing to present itself as anything more than a value play in a cluttered category. Inside the can, you’ve got a nice tasting spin on the classic energy drink flavor. It'’s sweet, crisp and tart, with 160 mg of caffeine per 16 oz. can, providing, along with other standard energy drink ingredients, the product’'s energy kick. While it’'s definitely drinkable, its flavor and function aren’'t worth going out of your way for. So, if their strategy is to undercut price or be a regional player in some underserved market, this product might have a chance. Otherwise, we unfortunately think that this product needs to do a whole lot more if it’s going to succeed.
