Blue Storm Energy Drink

BevNET Review: Blue Storm is one of those products about which it is hard to find positive things to say. First, there's the can, which from a distance looks similar to a Full Throttle (based on the logo). Otherwise, it's laden with energy clichés, such as "unleash yourself" and "get ready to unleash the animal within." At this stage of the category, a product like this isn't fooling anyone. Instead, it's making a statement (unintentional or not) that this is a value priced product that's cheaper than the mainstream brands. Inside the can, it's not much better, delivering a flavor that we'd call "classic energy drink" flavor. Again, this can be found in lots of other products. Overall, we think the marketers of this drink need to come up with a new approach -- this one is tired right out of the gate.Reviewed on: 2/18/2009
