BevNET Review: The lesser-known line of Hansen’s Naturals, Blue Sky Blue Energy is a so-called “natural energy drink,” named thus because this particular formulation has enough natural ingredients to get it inside the doors of places like Whole Foods. We don’t know that if it’s in those doors, it’s necessarily going to get out, however – this is a fairly run-of-the-mill, overly sweet, faintly citric bubblegum-flavored energy drink that’s only likely to appeal to hardcore natural foods shoppers who crave energy drinks. Is that a large audience? It's certainly one that is growing, but we're not sure where it's headed. Still, it helps round out Hansens "energy for everyone" portfolio.Reviewed on: 9/19/2006

BevNET Review: Hey, another energy drink called "juiced!" No, seriously, this one isn’t bad, as the different juice concentrates cut the sweetness just a little bit. And since it’s "natural," it’s likely to be the only Juiced in your natural foods store. That noted, the best thing about this particular product it’s the beautifully-colored can, which is a lovely shade of crimson-orange. Still, what it's really lacking is something new that we can't find in Khaos or Rockstar's offering. Maybe some consumers will buy it for the Blue Sky brand or earthy look, but we think that most consumers wanting a "juiced" energy drink will stick with one of the other brands. Reviewed on: 9/20/2006
