BevNET Review: Gee, where do we begin with this product? Well, let's start with the obvious: appearance. A black colored glass product that's shaped like a WWII pineapple grenade -- complete with pin -- isn't exactly the best of ideas in this day and age. For your own safety, it might not be best to carry or open this product in any public place that has armed security. As far as the taste, this product suffers from the same bitterness that we noticed in the berry variety, but the sweetness is a little more intense, thus making the drink somewhat more palatable. Unfortunately, the tasteless – if not ridiculously shortsighted -- nature of the packaging wipes out any sense of refreshment that one might have from the formula. In reality, this is one of those shock-value products that will join the ranks of the Sum Poosie's and Lava Gina’s, etc., whose only merit is in their ability to offend. Selling one oddball container to consumers for use on their bookshelves is not the road to success.

BevNET Review: Unlike the ruby orange, this flavor has a totally unappealing color. And it doesn't get better from there. This product uses a bitter berry-like flavor that's less than enjoyable to consume. The packaging is questionable, if not, given these violent times, tasteless, and the the pull tab is cumbersome to open. Still, it's the blue color and bad berry flavor that really do this product in. Definitely needs serious improvement.

BevNET Review: Using the "traditional energy drink flavor", Bomba Original is actually pretty decent. Most likely, that's a direct result of using glass, as the tinny aftertaste that is found in many energy drinks isn't present. The gold color works well with the label and glass packaging, which looks the least weapon-like out of any of the flavors in the brand. Still, this product seems more gimmicky than anything -- we really can't picture people lining up to buy cases of a grenade-shaped but otherwise humdrum energy drink for regular consumption.

BevNET Review: Bomba Sugar Free is the same as the original, but with acesulfame and aspartame used to sweeten the product. The result is a flavor that is, as far as diet energy drinks go, definitely refreshing. The sweetness is good and only has a mild aftertaste. Like the other flavors, it's really the packaging that makes this product receive a less than favorable review. It's a unique package that was clearly thought out and well-executed -- but we can't in good conscience suggest that the industry flock to a grenade-shaped package. Good taste, but way too gimmicky.

BevNET Review: Using a reddish-orange color that's appetizing in appearance, we were definitely most attracted to the Ruby Orange flavor of Bomba. However, the "ruby-orange" name implies a taste that doesn't line up with the fruit punch-like flavor of the product. It's sweet and sugary with a mild caffeine aftertaste, which is nothing we haven't seen before -- aside from its grenade shaped glass bottle. Overall, it's a moderately refreshing experience. The available PET bottle comes with a convenient, re-sealable top, but it doesn't quite have the shock value of the glass container.
