Boylan's Bottleworks: Creamy Red Birch Beer

Good Stuff!...

But it reminds me more of a classic, homemade Root Beer. Back in the day, my Dad would home brew it with Hire's Root Beer Extract, and cane sugar, 4 or 5 gallons at a time. No artificial ingredients. For those of you yearning for a taste of simpler times, I highly recommend the Boylan's product.

The best Birch Beer

I'd never had a creamy red birch beer until Boylan's and I have to say it is the most amazing flavor in soda pop. It's a smooth blend of birch beer and cream soda in one mouthful of bliss. I encourage anyone who likes root beer, birch beer or cream soda to try their creamy red birch beer. You may never drink another flavor again!

Very nice

Very nice, not as minty as other birch beers but it has a really nice creamy element.

Creamy Variation on a Theme

Boylan's enhances their Original Birch Beer with a red hue and a touch of vanilla and the results are fantastic (I think they refer to it as "entry-level birch beer"). Same light, cane-sugar-sweet finish, smoothness, perfect carbonation level, and foam with a twist that might make birch beer more palatable for those whose taste is a little more mainstream and is a nice change of pace for us hard-core afficionadi. My only (small) objection is the use of vanillin in addition to the natural vanilla and the use of artificial red food coloring. Mind you, it's a great soda regardless; perhaps the recent huge increase in the price of vanilla beans is responsible. Take Boylan's suggestion and float it with mint chocolate chip ice cream (I use Haagen-Dazs)--unbelievably yummy!

Delicious. Smooth. Creamy, with a hint of vanilla. You will never find a better red birch beer than this one from Boylan's.

The Good Stuff

I am a birch beer fan for life. This stuff is KILLER. I had a nice cold bottle of this just last week in Maryland, with a box lunch of broiled crab cake (the real deal). SO GOOD! If you like birch beer, you'll love this. Try it. Love it. No need to thank me.

Great Flavor Combination

I've never seen anyone else offer this flavor combination. I prefer this soda over regular root/birch beer. The root beer taste is still there but not as powerful, and with an added creamy flavor. I'd like to see Boylan's offer this soda (and all of their others) in an additional large bottle with a closeable cap.

Very satisfying, easy to like. Satisfying vanilla/birch finish. Like being back in Jersey!

This drink is great. If you like Birch Beer a lot, and you want the best out there, this is it.
