I am not a big "cola" fan, but this stuff is in a catagory of its own. It has a pleasant spicy taste that serves the palate well.Try it.Expensive around 1.50$ a bottle.
I love this stuff. In fact, I love BOTH Boylan's Cane Colas and would rate them equally, although they're quite different from each other. The BevNET editorial is correct in stating that this is a noticeably herbal concoction, however, this is a good thing! I like to think that early soda fountains--the kind that were in drugstores--jerked concoctions like this to order 100+ years ago. And since it's a Boylan's offering, you're assured of excellent ingredients including pure cane sugar for sweetening. I recommend trying it at least once if you're a cola lover. If you like this, a similar (and equally excellent) beverage is Fentimans Curiosity Cola.
Other reviewers have mentioned a strange spice to this drink they can't put their finger on. Well, I don't like it. I would describe it as medicinal, close to Robotussin. I have tasted it in an Italian cola. There is a hint of cinnamon. I am so sorry I had to buy the 4 pack of this drink. One was quite enough. UPDATE: I'm glad I did get the 4 pack, because the "weird" flavor grew on me a bit.
