BevNET Review: This was perhaps the most "main stream" tasting of all the Skeleteens sodas. It didn't taste the slightest bit offensive. It was just like grape soda. The one question is, where did the grape taste come from? We didn't see any grape flavoring listed on the side of bottle... maybe its the combination of bark, nuts, acorns, and leaves? BevNET Review: Neon red and green coloring and a label like "sourer soda" not only make this distinctive beverage easy to pick out, but a little intimidating as well. Rest assured though, once you get past the initial sour shock you'll find Mega Melon to be quite tasty and enjoyable. Both colors tasted pretty much the same, like a combination of melon and sour apple, and packed with sugar, which gave it a sweet / sourtangy kind of bite. If we had to describe this beverage in three words, we would say liquid Jolly Ranchers, but a word to the wise: like the candy, too much of a good thing will definitely give you a sugar high. BevNET Review: We here at the BevNET! know what the "trick" is to this beverage...it is the fact that you bought this beverage. You give them your money and they give you this horrible beverage. It tastes like liquid bubblegum. Not even good bubblegum... like the kind that comes with baseball cards...or maybe its those little juice container bubble gum things? Anyway, this beverage has a really bad taste. Don't drink it or buy it. Reviewed on: 5/31/2001
