BevNET Review: Yes, Bubble Yum soda does, in fact, taste like bubblegum. That's quite possibly the first time we've made this statement without it being meant as a criticism. Fortunately, however, Bubble Yum doesn't possess the same bubblegum flavor found in poorly formulated products. Instead, it's true to its name, featuring a flavor that made us immediately crave bubblegum. Unfortunately, the market for this product is probably rather limited. A full-strength CSD that's intended to taste like candy seems like a counterintuitive product to launch in this day and age -- especially when there's nothing special or attractive about the packaging. Bubble Yum is most definitely a novelty product in our opinion -- we simply can't imagine many consumers reaching for a 280-calorie bottle of bubblegum flavored pop. That being said, changing to upscale and/or nostalgia packaging would likely go a long way.Reviewed on: 8/29/2006

BevNET Review: When we saw that there was a Sour Cherry flavor of Bubble Yum Soda, we expected something that tastes quite different from the Original variety. However, this wasn't the case. The base Bubble Yum bubblegum flavor is present and a very mild cherry flavor has been added. The cherry flavor doesn't taste "sour" and doesn't give this product a personality of its own. Aside from the packaging suggestions previously made about the Original, we'd suggest making this flavor more distinct -- start with making the flavor more "sour.”Reviewed on: 8/29/2006
