BevNET Review: Just like the name implies, Tamarindo is flavored with tamarind. In case you are not familiar with the flavor of tamarind, it's a tart flavor that almost resembles a Latin American version of sweet and sour sauce. This product is very clean and simple -- just water, sugar, and tamarind. Recently this product was reformulated with a new variety of tamarind (from another country). We're not quite sure what exactly this means, but we can tell you that our panel found the new variety to be quite pleasing. In addition, this flavor tastes much more mainstream than the previous formulation. Eat Inc. wisely took our suggestion to reduce its package size which should definitely improve this product's distribution. Overall, great stuff.

Great Taste

It is very "refreshing" to find a drink is the US market made with sugar, rather than corn syrup. As an American not familiar with Tamarind, I enjoyed the new flavor--a bit tart, though with just the right amount of sweetness from the sugar.

Pretty good, among tamarindos I've tried

It has a nice pulp content and a pretty fresh tamarindo taste to it. Other tamarindo beverages I've tried are Jumex and Goya (and I think maybe Jarittos has one?). This ranks well among them and is quite refreshing. The tamarindo itself as a fruit I would not rank high among my favorite fruits.

As an American, it is nice to try new flavors. This drink has a nice flavor that's not overwhelming, but very different. Awesome.

Very thick, almost like a concentrate. Would havta cut it down with water. Has a "cooked" taste.
