BevNET Review:
Eli's Lemon Lime is like, well, super premium 7-Up. That's not a bad thing since everyone gets a craving for citrus CSDs now and then, but on the other hand, we think that most consumers are probably expecting root beer or sarsaparilla in a bottle like this. Either way, Capt'n Eli's Lemon Lime is, like the other flavors, clean and crisp with a sugar sweetened body that won't leave a bad taste in your mouth.

Orange Pop

BevNET Review:
Orange Pop is a nice continuation of Capt'n Eli's super premium, hand crafted soda pop line. The product contains orange and lemon flavors, which work together to create a one of a kind orange soda. It's clean and crisp from start to finish -- no surprise given the use of real sugar -- and is extremely enjoyable. Packaging looks like the other flavors of Capt'n Eli's, which features reasonably attractive illustrations. Overall, a great addition to the lineup.

Strawberry Pop

BevNET Review:
This is probably the first flavor of Capt'n Eli's that we really haven't liked. The flavor is reminiscent of strawberry lollipops rather than actual strawberries, plus the red color of the liquid is obviously artificial (thanks, Red 40!). Both of these things really don't mesh with the super premium reputation of the Capt'n Eli's brand, plus we simply don't think there's a huge demand for a strawberry CSD. We'd recommend they scrap this flavor.

Capt'n Eli's Blueberry Pop

BevNET Review:
Capt'n Eli's Blueberry Pop is the latest soda to be product by Shipyard Brewing. All other beer companies that are trying to make their own soda should take a look at this lineup as they've achieved near perfection. The Blueberry Pop is no exception. With cane sugar and real blueberry juice, this beverage has been harmoniously balanced to create a body that is sweet, smooth, and clean to the finish. The packaging is a bit busy, but it does successfully create a super premium image that fits well with Shipyard's micro-brew beers. Overall, this is a very well done product whose only limitation is the limited market for carbonated blueberry beverages. Still, it's a true gem that will please anyone seeking a super premium micro soda.

Capt'n Eli's Ginger Beer

Yet another small-batch soda offering from Shipyard, the ginger beer has a complex, spicy profile that numbed our tongue for a little while. While it doesn’t look all that potent, it’s strong ginger flavor will absolutely have you dreaming of shots of dark rum to create that potent dark and stormy cocktail. And Capt’n Eli’s Ginger Beer comes dressed in an attractive label showing a kid in a rowboat, accompanied by a friendly parrot, to boot. Definitely worth a try for ginger beer fans.

Capt'n Eli's Parrot Punch

BevNET Review:
While we don’t know how strong a market there is out there for a small-batch carbonated fruit punch, we will give credit to Capt’n Eli – or his employees at the Shipyard Brewery -- for mixing up a good one. This stuff has all the bright red color and candy sweetness of Hawaiian Punch, and the clean finish of real sugar, with just the right amount of fizz. It’s got a terrific label, too – could there be anything more enticing than a parrot surrounded by delicious fruits? Definitely worth a try for fans of bright red lips and stained shirts.

Capt'n Eli's Root Beer

Capt'n Eli's Root Beer is without a doubt one of the best root beers to come our way in a long time. This full bodied root beer has a rich and creamy flavor and a very clean mint finish. The use of real cane sugar, wintergreen oil, anise, and vanilla give this product a hand brewed feeling. Each of the different flavors can be identified while consuming this product. In addition, the artwork on the label gives the product an attractive retro-style appearance that looks great. Overall, a truly exceptional root beer.
