Cheerwine

Manufacturer's Brand Overview [Edit]

At Carolina Beverage, Cheerwine is the drink of choice. Which means we spend most of our time making sure each bottle or can has the same unique cherry taste and rich burgundy color. But Cheerwine isn't the only different taste we offer. We make other products, too. Like Diet Cheerwine. It's got the same crazy cherry taste and bubbly effervescence of regular Cheerwine, but with zero calories. Also on the menu is Cool Moon. It's a citrus flavored soft drink that's as different as Cheerwine itself. And if you're into water, we bottle that, too. Try Blue Mist purified drinking water.

Cheerwine (slim can)

Product Type:Carbonated Soft Drink: Regular; Container: 12 oz can
BevNET Review: Hailing from the Southeastern US, Cheerwine is pretty much the epitome of a retro soda, with branding that is sure to evoke a sense of nostalgia in a good percentage of people who see it. That said, moving the product into a slim 12 oz. can -- which is the can of choice for those brands seeking to have a more chic and modern look -- is definitely an interesting move. On the one hand, it seems slightly at odds with the retro look of the product. On the other hand, it definitely makes the product feel new again, especially when looking at the product in its 4-pack container (which is how it’s being sold at retail). That said, we think that this is a package that will grab some eyes and maybe even help Cheerwine gain some new buyers. Fortunately, what’s inside the can is the same great Cheerwine flavor that we’ve come to love. Thanks to the use of sugar, it’s clean and crisp, with a cherry flavored body that is sweet but not syrupy. While it has slimmed down on the outside, the product on the inside hasn’t, with 150 calories and 42g of sugar per serving. Overall, if you’re looking to indulge in a great tasting soda that pairs old with new, Cheerwine’s new slim can is definitely a solid choice. Reviewed on: 12/21/2012

Diet Cheerwine

Product Type:Carbonated Soft Drink: Diet; Container: various
BevNET Review: The diet version of Cheerwine is one of the tastiest diet beverages that we have ever had. You won't even think that you are drinking a reduced calorie beverage. Diet Cheerwine has the same cherry taste as regular Cheerwine, but it is sweetened with sucralose and Ace-K. Overall, this is a solid diet soda that won't let you down.Reviewed on: 5/12/2005

Cheerwine

Product Type:Carbonated Soft Drink: Regular; Container: 12oz Bottle
BevNET Review: The signature beverage of the Carolina Beverage Company. This is a truly original soft drink that cannot be compared to any other. It has a distinct cherry taste that is not heavy like other soft drinks. Cheerwine is not a cherry soda, though. We do not really know how exactly to categorize it, but it is definitely an "alternative" soft drink. Cheerwine is light and refreshing and is a nice break from the leading soft drinks. We highly recommend this beverage. Reviewed on: 5/6/2005
