BevNET Review: The signature beverage of the Carolina Beverage Company. This is a truly original soft drink that cannot be compared to any other. It has a distinct cherry taste that is not heavy like other soft drinks. Cheerwine is not a cherry soda, though. We do not really know how exactly to categorize it, but it is definitely an "alternative" soft drink. Cheerwine is light and refreshing and is a nice break from the leading soft drinks. We highly recommend this beverage.

Tastes good

I bought a can of this out of a vending machine at the Wal-Mart in Woodstock, VA last summer and since I never drank Cheerwine before and it tasted real good. Too bad they don't have this stuff in Florida or have a caffeine free version of it.

Cheerwine is the best ever. Living in Florida it's hard to get it, but I load up every time I'm in Savannah.

Cheerwiner for Life

Grew up in NYC drinking Cheerwine in the bottle (My dad was from NC). I raised my kids on it. Will travel to Virginia once a month, just to stock up on a few cases. The best tasting soda you will ever experience. Please let me know when it is sold above the Mason/Dixon line.

I like it!

I first heard about this on Food Network's "Unwrapped" and I bought it from a soda specialty store here in my city. It's good! I can't really say that it's cherry, it's hard to describe the taste. However, it's pretty light, not overly sugary like most drinks. If it's available in your area, and if you like a soda that's not too heavy, try it.

Cheerwine: Great Product, Not So Great Customer Service

As a Carolina native living in Michigan, I always look forward to getting back down south and enjoying Cheerwine. It's a definite childhood favorite! Unfortunately, my online ordering experience could have been better. Got my yum-diggety Cheerwine in a timely manner, but my email inquiry about a tracking number/shipping inquiry received an unexpected biting response from a Cheerwine employee, "Alice", who really went out of her way to be downright rude. I wrote the company a polite email thanking them for the product & timely response, but suggesting consumer responses not be sarcastic, be polite, simple, and include a thank you. I got no response from Cheerwine. Too bad. I won't bother ordering online again. They sell Coca-Cola products in Michigan.

Classic look with a suspiciously unfamiliar flavor.

If you're looking for a great classic soda, with a flavor you don't find in most colas or cherry based sodas, Cheerwine is for you. Like nearly all colas and sodas, Cheerwine has got to be served brutally cold, the glass bottle helps and is elegant too. There are cherry undertones, but its hard to distinguish a comparable flavor. The perfect drink to serve at a classy non-alcoholic party.

cheerwine tastes extremely delicious and is like a rare "treat" for me, since I live in GA, and can only find this when we make trips through SC (not very often) Great though.

Great Soft Drink!

Difficult to find outside the Carolina's. I grew up on this stuff and still love it. It's not too sweet and it doesn't have a heavy cherry flavoring. It does lose its fizz faster than Coke, but that's not really a problem unless you plan on sipping it all day long. Besides, what's better than drinking a soda your friends have never heard of and think might possibly be alcohol? (I've had several ask if it was a 'wine cooler'. It is obviously not.)
