Review: Cascabel Energy Drink

In Mexico, the rattlesnake is called El Cascabel. Thus we have the origin of the latest Hispanic-targeted energy drink to hit the market, Cascabel. This "bebida energetica's" slogan is "dejate morder" or "get bit". The drink features a double-whammy of ingredients, including an energy blend made up of l-carnitine, sucrose, caffeine, guarana, green tea, inositol, glucuronolactone. In addition, the "immunity blend" contains MPS, oat beta glucan, mSM, and coenzyme Q-10. The flavor to this beverage is a sweet green apple with hints of watermelon. The quality of the flavor is definitely above average. The packaging is unique and will definitely appeal to Hispanic consumers. For the mainstream consumer, this product will seem unique, but we question whether the snake image will appeal to consumers that currently consume energy drinks. Still, this product is unique and can definitely achieve success if it goes after the right niche.
