Century Energy Drink is an energy drink that does a good job delivering sweet pineapple flavor. Sweetened with high fructose corn syrup and sucralose (which cuts the calories slightly), the drink does have a slightly syrupy body and definitely leaves a coating on your mouth, but that masks many of the functional ingredients. It's only at the finish that it becomes obvious that this is an energy drink. Functionally, the product has 147mg of caffeine, which will definitely provide some energy kick. In addition, they've loaded up the drink with all of the usual suspects and then some, including taurine, guarana, B vitamins, yerba mate, and D-Ribose. The product is packaged in a 16 oz. can, which, at least from afar, is rather difficult to read due to the choice of type treatment. The look of the can is murky and dark, which conflicts with the positive intentions that are described on the side of the can. Also, the name, Century, feels bland and forgettable without spending the time to read the meaning (which we are sure your typical energy drink consumers won't as they pan the cooler). If the marketer is true in their intentions, giving the can a more vibrant appearance would probably help things. Until then, we can't help but feel as though this energy drink is a little too similar to stuff that's already out there.
