Heart

Product Type:Juice: Juice Drink; Container: jar
BevNET Review: The “Heart” variety of ChakWave is a very enjoyable product – bright green color and all. There’s a mild sweetness to this product, which derives its flavor from a variety of raw, organic ingredients, including honeydew melon, avocados, pears, celery, green bell peppers, green grapes, cucumbers, spinach, cilantro, kale, agave, chia, hawthorne berries tincture, wild rose flower essence, rose quartz gem elixir. All of these products have been expertly combined, with a light vegetable and melon flavor giving way to a pleasant herbal note. It’s a bit thick, but that’s to be expected from a drink that’s made with fresh ingredients like this one. While it’s hard to say how well this product works for the intended chakra, it’s an amazing cocktail that uses a clever and original formulation. Packaging is a simple 8 oz. glass condiment jar, which is nor surprise given that these juices are handmade to order. And being handmade, these products are expensive, to the tune of about $10.50 per bottle (when purchased in the 7 day bundle). But, you get what you pay for – and this product certainly makes you feel nourished and revitalized. So, if you have the means and are in the LA area (which is the only place they are available), give this product a try. Technically speaking, it’s one of the best juices we’ve ever had.Reviewed on: 8/28/2009

Sacral

Product Type:Juice: Juice Drink; Container: jar
BevNET Review: ChakWave’s Sacral variety is one of the more interesting concoctions that make up the line. This variety is orange colored with visible chunks of seeds and pulp floating in the mix. The base is made up of papayas, mango, cantalope, oranges, carrots, and orange bell pepper, all of which are organic and used in raw form. The result is something that’s thick in body and full of flavor, with a lightly sweet tropical fruit flavor and a secondary note of pepper. They’ve also added some spice to the mix, in the form of cinnamon, sweet paprika, and cayenne pepper. And trust us, you can taste it. It’s one of those products that gets progressively spicier as you drink it. Not only does this provide a flavor sensation that you won’t find in any other drink, but it also seems in line with what the Sacral Chakra is all about. Overall, a unique and enjoyable park of the ChakWave lineup.Reviewed on: 8/28/2009

Throat

Product Type:Juice: Juice Drink; Container: jar
BevNET Review: ChakWave’s “Throat” variety is, like the other varieties, targeting the chakra of the same name. So, they’ve chosen a bevy of fruit, herbal, and floral ingredients, including blueberries, blackberries, bananas, ginger, chamomile, lemon, red apples, chia, red clover blossoms tincture, flax flower essence, lapis lazuli gem elixir. What you get is something that’s got a bit of grit to it (presumably from the pulp and some seeds), but delivers big time in terms of fresh fruit flavor. The finish has some kick to it – and we definitely felt it in our throat on the way down. Using only raw and organic ingredients is a key selling point, but also the reason behind this product’s $10+ price tag. Packaging is simple, using an 8 oz. jar that sends the clear message that this product is all about what’s inside it rather than a fancy exterior. For a product like this, that’s fine by us – we’d rather pay for high quality ingredients. However, in its current unpasteurized format and super high price point, there are clear limitations in terms of how far they’ll be able to go. Hopefully this is the first step in the evolution for ChakWave because we definitely like what we see (and taste) so far.Reviewed on: 8/28/2009
