ChakWave’s “Throat” variety is, like the other varieties, targeting the chakra of the same name. So, they’ve chosen a bevy of fruit, herbal, and floral ingredients, including blueberries, blackberries, bananas, ginger, chamomile, lemon, red apples, chia, red clover blossoms tincture, flax flower essence, lapis lazuli gem elixir. What you get is something that’s got a bit of grit to it (presumably from the pulp and some seeds), but delivers big time in terms of fresh fruit flavor. The finish has some kick to it – and we definitely felt it in our throat on the way down. Using only raw and organic ingredients is a key selling point, but also the reason behind this product’s $10+ price tag. Packaging is simple, using an 8 oz. jar that sends the clear message that this product is all about what’s inside it rather than a fancy exterior. For a product like this, that’s fine by us – we’d rather pay for high quality ingredients. However, in its current unpasteurized format and super high price point, there are clear limitations in terms of how far they’ll be able to go. Hopefully this is the first step in the evolution for ChakWave because we definitely like what we see (and taste) so far.
