BevNET Review: Like the other Cherrish flavors, this 100% juice drink has a very tart cherry flavor that has been rounded out with the sweet taste of blueberries. That's rather interesting, seeing as the label doesn't cite ingredients that explain the flavor or color. In any event, it's an enjoyable product to drink, but given the rather technical looking packaging it seems like this will appeal to the type of person who seeks cherries for their health benefits (antioxidants and anti-inflamatories). We're not sure that's going to be a big market any time soon, especially since consumers are trending towards more exotic fruits rather than something as pedestrian as a cherry. The best bet for this product would be to class it up a bit and make the product look and feel like a premium product. That might win over some segment of the juice category -- especially those who discover how good cherry juice tastes.Reviewed on: 11/8/2007

BevNET Review: Cherry and blueberry sounds like a worthy combination, but something just doesn’t taste right. Specifically, these two flavors produce a flavor that is sickeningly sweet and tart, with a flavor that is reminiscent of a children’s juice box. We understand the reasoning behind using two antioxidant rich flavors, but we do not believe that this will have mainstream appeal given the high calories/carbs and the strong flavor – especially when considering the relatively unattractive packaging.Reviewed on: 2/27/2007

Cherry Cherry

BevNET Review: If it’s cherry flavor that you crave, CHERRish’s Cherry Cherry is the unquestionable choice. The sweet, tart flavor tastes like cherry – albeit a toned down version of cherry pie filling. The 100% juice formulation is refreshing and enjoyable, but it does have a certain novelty factor, much the way watermelon juice did when it hit the market. The product’s main claim is based on its claim that it is “jam packed with anti-inflammatories”, which will help keep free radicals away. While health claims are always a plus, this product seems to have ignored other trends (such as lower carbs/calories on the juice aisle). That being said, we think that this product will have niche appeal to consumers seeking large doses of antioxidants, but beyond that it’s just a nice tasting, full calorie juice that could use some help in the packaging department.Reviewed on: 2/27/2007

Tart Cherry

BevNET Review: Tart Cherry is our favorite flavor of the CHERRish lineup. However, the flavor of this product is only slightly different than the Cherry Cherry flavor and we do not think that consumers will notice the difference, especially when considering that the packaging is nearly identical as well. Again, we think this product has a certain novelty to it (have you ever had 100% cherry juice??), but beyond that it’s not as exotic as a noni or acai, and health focused consumers will likely lean towards those flavors instead. Lastly, we would really like to see something better in terms of packaging – the current version feels quite generic.Reviewed on: 2/27/2007

BevNET Review: This tastes very similar to the "Cherry Cherry" variety that was part of their first line, with a slightly less tart flavor than the other varieties. That being said, this is definitely the most mainstream flavor. On the other hand, we like the design of the original packaging better. It seemed a lot more credible as a premium product -- and their efforts to turn this into some sort of health or sport drink seem misguided. Overall, it delivers nice taste, but until they fix the branding, we think this product is a bit lost.Reviewed on: 11/8/2007
