First off, we have to say that the “Chronic” theme is completely unnecessary and played out. It’s the type of thing that’s also going to scare away many retailers and distributors, not just because of the drug theme but also because the product is clearly selling itself as a novelty product. That’s a real shame, because what’s inside the can is actually pretty enjoyable as far as mainstream style teas go. They’ve blended green tea and black tea, flavored it with a touch of lemon, sweetened it with cane sugar, and added hemp seed extract. It’s sweet, but clean, and quite enjoyable to drink. Still, the packaging and positioning are the Achilles' heel of this product, pigeonholing it as a novelty that will be purchased for shock value. We just don’t think that’s a winning strategy.
