Please, Coke, stop adding strange flavors to soda! I cannot drink a cola that has a bitter aftertaste. I can't see too many people drinking this daily. Seriously, it is just not that good. Stick to what you do best.....COKE.
Here we go again. Back in the 70's companies started coming up with the diet drinks. In order to give them some flavor they added lemon and lime. Diet drink production progressed and we got rid of Lemon Pepsi Lime Pepsi, etc., whatever. Now they are back. If I wanted a lime drink, I would get one. Lime does not belong in a Coke. It tastes like watered down flat Coke with Lime to give it flavor. Yuck.
Not striving too far from the original coke flavor, the lime gives a nice finish to the soda, taking away that carbonated aftertaste. I think this is here to stay.
This tasted like Coke flavored Pine-Sol. What the hell were they thinking!? (By the way, I'm a Coke drinker so don't think I'm knocking it because I don't like Coke.)
When I traveled in Europe (along the Med), it was common to be served coke with a wedge of lime on the glass. I became accustomed to squeezing it in and liked it very much. This new Coke isn't like that. To me the lime taste is far too faint and I would like a stronger flavor. If you wait a bit after the initial carbonation leaves, the lime is more evident. I will buy this again.
I think its Lime products are among Coke's greatest achievements... very natural tasting for such a commercially mainstream product. I'm not too big a fan of the overly sweet taste of Diet Coke, but I totally loved last year's 'Diet Coke with Lime' for it's crisp, very natural lime taste and its ability to actually quench my thirst, and the same holds true in the new regular version. Refreshing balance of Coke and lime flavor, and again Coke really shows a knack for creating a strikingly natural lime taste thats not too sweet, yet doesn't leave a bitter aftertaste. Coke has definitey found its niche...
It's good but not great. Ive been drinking the Diet Coke with lime at work for quite awhile. That is a great soda. Great taste with 0 calories! This seems like it should taste great cause its got sugar. But i was dissapointed by the taste. Its more like coke with a tiny hint of lime.
Just purchased my first Coke with Lime and it's great. I'm a huge Coke Classic and Cherry Coke fan so this is just another great option from Coke. Better than Pepsi Twist with a nice citrus aftertaste.
