BevNET Review: Coke C2, Coca-Cola's low-calorie/low-carb version of its original, pleasantly surprised some of our taste testers. It's mixture of corn syrup and artificial sweeteners (aspartame, sucralose and Ace-K) produces a flavor and mouthfeel that closely resembles the original while providing only 45 calories per 8 oz serving. The beverage has far less aftertaste than Diet Coke, but the taste of the aspartame is still noticeable and detracts from the product. A straight blend of sucralose and corn syrup would be a major improvement. The labeling for Coke C2 is subtle, perhaps to the point of fault. The Coke C2 logo is far from eye-catching and the descriptive text "Lower Sugar Cola…half the sugar of regular cola" is still less conspicuous. Labeling aside, we think Coke C2 is a solid product that should find a niche among the folks that are neither here nor there with respect to cola calories.

C2 is a great alternative to regular coke and so much better than diet coke which is too sickly sweet for my taste. The problem is that it has disappeared from my favourite grocery store (Safeway)! Please tell me it has NOT been discontinued!!! Where can I find it???

I liked this cola but I haven't seen it around in a while...do you think people didn't like it as much and they took off the market?? Aww...I hope not... antgaudi, houston-tx

With an age of health-nuts and calorie counters (like myself), it is always nice to see that the industry of soda is trying to keep us alive. With C2, half the sugars means a feeling of health, and a sense that you're drinking right, even though you're not. If you don't drink soda regularly, this would be the only one to actually enjoy. It tastes like coke, but with half the garbage. Final Analysis: C2 it that you try C2! HAHA

I drank this stuff for a while while it was on sale at the store. I dug it. Close enough to Coke's flavor, and I didn't notice artificial sweetener at all.

A Great Lower Sugar Cola

This is a great tasting cola considering the fact that it is half the sugar of regular coke.It is half sugar and half artificial sweetner but it has very little if any aftertaste.Coca-Cola C2 taste a whole lot better than Pepsi Edge.C2 tastes very similar to Coca-Cola classic.If you haven't tried it you need to give it a try.I don't think you will be sorry.

I can not stand diet soda. I can not afford to drink regular soda (too many calories). C2 was just right... Where did it go?

There is only one negative thing to say about C2. It doesn't have cane sugar in it. It tastes better than old fashioned diet coke (aspertame only) since it has 4 sweetners (HFCS, aspertame, ace-k, sucralose). I'd like to see the same done with all the other non diet sodas I drink (Mellow Yellow and Dr. Pepper).
