BevNET Review: Not to be forgotten in the coconut water race is Dr. Martin’s pure organic coconut juice. This German-made product is electrolyte-rich and has a lighter-than-average coconut taste, especially in comparison to some of the larger American market sharers. This certainly would be a great gateway product into the coconut water world for someone still getting acclimated to the distinct taste. It's packaged in a cardboard carton that looks very much like a milk container. While it's a unique format, the waxy feeling of the package is definitely a turnoff. From a design point of view, the front panel is clean and reserved looking, with a young green coconut submerged in water. The remaining three walls are very text-heavy, featuring copy and nutritional information in both German and French. This product comes off more serious as opposed to sleek or playful like some others in the category. Overall, Dr. Martin’s has done a good job of conveying the natural organic attributes of coconut water, but the wax coated packaging — and name of the brand — detract somewhat.Reviewed on: 1/19/2011

BevNET Review: Dr. Martin's Coco Juice with Pineapple and Acerola is a bit misleading, at least in flavor, with way more pineapple juice than coconut water. As a result, the liquid is cloudy yellow and very consistent with pineapple juice in appearance and aroma. However, this product is still rather pleasant, containing a very sweet and fresh pineapple juice flavor and a smooth note of coconut water to the finish. Missing from the party is acerola, which is completely undetectable. The product comes in the same package style as plain Coco Juice, with a cardboard container that most closely resembles a milk box. It also has the same waxy coating, which is definitely a turnoff. Visually, it features an image of a pineapple slice and two cherries submerged with the green coconut. While it certainly helps convey what the product us, the image does lack personality. Overall, this is a delightful product, but increasing the acerola flavor and improving the packaging would help.Reviewed on: 1/19/2011
