BevNET Review: Coco King is a coconut juice that comes in 17.5 oz. can. It’s made with coconut juice, water, coconut pulp, sodium, sugar, and preservatives. As far as steel can coconut juice/water products are concerned, this is definitely one of the strongest, sweetest entries that we’ve sampled. The liquid has a strong coconut flavor, which is further enhanced by the pulp. So, if you don’t like the taste of coconut, this is definitely a product to skip. Otherwise, it’s an okay product, but nothing more. It’s definitely not the same product type as the coconut water drinks that lead the category. Based on the positioning of the product, that seems to be what they are trying to get a piece of, so consumer confusion could be an issue. Aesthetically, there’s not a whole lot to this product, with a bilingual 17.5 oz. ribbed steel can that features a picture of a beach with coconuts on it. It doesn’t really have a lot of personality; we think that it’s pretty forgettable-looking. Overall, a mediocre entrant into the coconut juice category.Reviewed on: 3/22/2011
