Coconut Water & Pineapple
Last Updated: 11/22/2010 12:09 PM
Despite having an error on the ingredients list (there's no mention of pineapple juice — just coconut water and vitamin C), this product is a mixture of coconut water and pineapple juice. It's rather sweet tasting and has a lot of pineapple flavor, which overpowers most of the base coconut water taste. The pineapple juice tastes like canned pineapple juice, which is less than ideal in our opinion. Dialing down the pineapple juice seems like the obvious solution to us. On the outside, our feeling about this product is the same as the other flavors: it feels like a me-too product that's lacking in the personality department. Eliminating some of the text (e.g. Isotonic beverage and fat free) and perhaps changing the name might improve our opinion of the product. Overall, it's good, but not good enough to be a serious player in the category.
