The idea of this beverage is to translate the decadent flavors of Cold Stone Creamery into a convenient on-the-go product. Well, at 450 calories and 15g of fat per bottle, it’s most certainly a very decadent product. Inside the bottle, the thick and creamy liquid does indeed taste like liquified fudge brownie ice cream. However, we can’t say that we found this product to be overly enjoyable -- it’s just too rich, sweet, and processed tasting. On the outside, the 12 oz. bottle has a full wrap around it. Like other products that use this format, breaking the seal around the cap often rips a good chunk of the label off. This results in something that looks very sloppy in your hand. Otherwise, it’s definitely very easily identifiable as a Cold Stone product. Whether or not this brand equity helps sell a 450 calorie dairy product is certainly debatable. Regardless, we think that the lower half of the label could be cleaned up such that the flavor name stands out a bit more from the obligatory mention of natural and artificial flavors. Overall, we’d like to see the formulation lightened up and the packaging given some more polish.
