BevNET Review: Made with 25% juice, Cubed3 Purple Passion is a blend of coconut water, water, brown rice syrup, citric acid, pectin, natural flavor, stevia, and natural color. From a flavor perspective, this product has a heavy dose of tropical fruit flavoring, followed by a mild note of coconut water. The issue for this product is the stevia, which, as you sip the product, starts to takeover. At 120 calories per 16 oz. bottle, it doesn't seem like the product really benefits from having stevia in it. Aside from the issue of calories, the flavor lacks balance, with tart, sweet, and sour notes almost working against each other. Ultimately, the concepts seems good, but the execution really hurts it. On the outside, the 16 oz. PET bottle has been fully wrapped with a label that tries really hard to make the consumer know that this is a coconut water. While it succeeds, placing the brand name below the words "coconut water" seems like a big mistake. Also, the treatment of the brand name "Cubed3" is both visually unappealing and confusing. Following a "less is more" design principal would definitely help out this package. Overall, a good concept, but the execution needs work.Reviewed on: 8/18/2011

BevNET Review: The second flavor of the Cubed3 Coconut Water line starts out as if it's going to offer something different than the Purple Passion flavor. After all, it has blue packaging and blue in the name, so you'd think that the liquid inside might be blue or have a berry flavor, right? That's not the case, with the product instead having an almost identical flavor (we'd challenge anyone to taste these blind and tell the difference after taking a few sips of each) and a slightly lighter shade of purplish pink to the liquid. Furthermore, the name "Blue Freeze" sounds like something highly processed -- a bad choice for a coconut water product. Overall, we're not fans of this flavor -- we'd suggest they replace it with something else.Reviewed on: 8/18/2011
