BevNET Review: For a sugar free energy drink, this stuff drinks quite nicely, with a pink colored body that has a light berry flavor. It’s moderately sweet, with a mild amount of aftertaste from the sweeteners and functional ingredients, which are fairly standard, for whatever that’s worth. The rest of the product, on the other hand, is hardly standard. The bright pink color, “Damzl” name, and the “Not for dudes!” tag clearly show that this product is intended for the female consumer. However, this conflicts with the urban edge that the logo has, making the net result that this product doesn’t appeal strongly to either the male or female drinker. Our suggestion? Keep the name Damzl, change the pink color, and drop the “Not for dudes!” Otherwise, we think this product will get the majority of its sales from curiosity / novelty one time buyers.
