BevNET Review: Utlizing a unique technology called the "FreshCan Wedge", Defense is a first of its kind beverage that stores its vitamin supplements in an air and water tight plastic container inside the can. When the consumer pulls the tab, the vitamins are activated and mixed with the rest of the beverage, allowing for maximum potency of the product contained inside. As far as the actual taste of this beverage goes, it is surprisingly smooth with absolutely zero medicinal aftertaste. The orange flavor is on par with a children's drink, but contains no juice. It's moderately sweet and, due to the vitamin additives, provides a very soothing feeling while in your mouth. The packaging is bright, but busy, and clearly lists the benefits of the product -- definitely important for a unique product such as this one. Perhaps the biggest test will be whether or not the technology and the reasoning behind it prove to be things that are important to the consumer. Overall, a great product with a very unique package that's definitely worth a look -- especially if you need a little pick me up.
