BevNET Review: The original variety of Dose Energy drink was surprisingly tasty, despite the fact that it looks like Red Bull when you pour it from the can. Flavor, however, is nothing like Red Bull, instead featuring a peach like flavor that also has citrus notes. It’s satisfying and the drink has some kick, but it’s on par with what’s already out there today. The brand name “Dose” and the “Get your daily dose” tagline are catchy, but implying that one should consume Dose as part of a daily regimen seems a bit questionable. Packaging is otherwise clean, with a good mix of color and easy to read text on a clutter free front panel. Overall, it’s a decent product that has taste and packaging that’s slightly above average. BevNET Review: From a branding point of view, a Dose Energy Shot seems like it would be a more marketable use of the Dose brand name and “Get your daily dose” tagline. After all, these products are supposed to be concentrated “doses” of energy. On the inside, this is a fairly standard tasting energy shot, with a sugar free formulation that has a lot of aftertaste. It’s the kind of product that you have to guzzle quickly – unless you want to be running for some mouthwash. Packaging is the classic 2 oz. shot bottle, but they’ve done a nice job of designing their label so that it’s easy to read and attractive. Overall, nice brand, but run of the mill flavor and formulation.Reviewed on: 3/20/2009
