BevNET Review: A cherry chocolate version of Diet Dr Pepper doesn't necessarily sound like it should taste that great. After all, Dr Pepper, a drink that's marketed as having 23 flavors, gets two more flavors in cherry and chocolate. Somehow though, they've managed to make the stuff taste pretty decent, with a balance of flavors that we haven't seen in previous Diet Dr Pepper line extensions. There are distinct notes of cherry, chocolate, and the core Dr Pepper flavor throughout, finishing up with a mild sweetener aftertaste. The outside of the package is a bit busy, but it still manages to whet the appetite. Overall, it's the best Dr Pepper extension in a while.
