BevNET Review: A cherry chocolate version of Diet Dr Pepper doesn't necessarily sound like it should taste that great. After all, Dr Pepper, a drink that's marketed as having 23 flavors, gets two more flavors in cherry and chocolate. Somehow though, they've managed to make the stuff taste pretty decent, with a balance of flavors that we haven't seen in previous Diet Dr Pepper line extensions. There are distinct notes of cherry, chocolate, and the core Dr Pepper flavor throughout, finishing up with a mild sweetener aftertaste. The outside of the package is a bit busy, but it still manages to whet the appetite. Overall, it's the best Dr Pepper extension in a while.

I WAS SO ADDICTED TO THIS THIS PAST SUMMER AND IT IS NOWHERE TO BE FOUND. NOW I CANT EVEN SEEM TO FIND THE CHERRY VANILLA EITHER. WHAT IS GOING ON????? PLEASE HELP ME TO FIND EITHER OF THESE PRODUCTS... IN NEW HUDSON MICHIGAN

Diet Dr. Pepper is my favoirte soft drink. My friend bought a diet cherry chocolate Dr. Pepper for me by mistake. One taste and I was hooked. I LOVE the flavor! I only wish I could find it in more stores!

I'm a huge fan of Dr Pepper and the prior spinoffs of Dr Pepper. So when I saw Cherry Chocolate Dr Pepper, I was excited because hey, I liked chocolate, I liked cherry and I sure as hell like Dr Pepper. What a mistake. It tastes like someone dropped a bunch of stale melted Tootsie Rolls into the soda. The sweetener aftertaste just made it worse. Needless to say, I dumped the rest of the 12 pack into my sink and cut my losses.

I love chocolate soda. My mom used to make chocolate sodas for me, and cherry sodas. I grew up with Canfields chocolate cherry soda as well, but this is amazing. I curbed 3 cravings at once with this soda.

I am a confessed chocoholic. I tend to sniff the cola's aroma coming out of the bottle and the first thing that hit me was the chocolate. I was hooked! Although it says it is CHERRY chocolate, there wasn't much cherry flavor. I am a diabetic so I can't have a lot of regular chocolate (but I do have diabetic chocolate.. ^^) so to me, this is like drinking chocolate. *dreamy sigh*

This soda reminded me alot of a cherry tootsie roll pop. It really does taste good. It tastes like it has a fair amount of sugar when it has none. However, the after taste bothers me quite a bit. Though, for the flavor, I am willing to look past that. :)

I'll start by mentioning I picked Chocolate Cherry off the shelf by accident.. and after tasting the stuff what an accident it was. As mentioned the aftertaste is nearly unbearable. I was able to choke down half a glass.. but that was it. Disappointed.

I love Diet Dr. Pepper and Diet Cherry Vanilla. When I was a kid, Faygo made a chocolate soda that I loved and I was excited to see a Dr. Pepper variation. Unfortunately, they've used AceK in the sweetening process and I don't like the aftertaste it leaves. Too bad...
