BevNET Review: Utilizing a caffeine-free formulation that's fueled by green tea (each shot equals 3 cups of green tea) and fruit juices (grape, pomegranate, blueberry, and acai), Dragon Pearl is definitely not your typical energy shot. In terms of flavor, it's tart and slightly sweet, drinking much more like a strong juice drink than an energy shot. But if you are looking for instant buzz, this product probably isn't for you as it doesn't work the same way as shots that contain added caffeine (it's designed to give you lighter but longer lasting energy — which it seems to). The biggest issue that we have with this product is the packaging, which, aside from being cluttered, looks like a stereotypical energy drink label. To that end, we think that this one would be easy to pass over on the shelf. That's unfortunate, especially since what's inside the bottle is a unique alternative to traditional energy shots. Overall, we like what's inside the bottle, but the packaging and branding need work.Reviewed on: 12/15/2010
