BevNET Review: “Deuce” is a relaxation shot that’s fortified with B vitamins, valerian root, rose hips, and melatonin, similar to their flagship product. From a flavor point of view, this product uses a non-carbonated grape flavor that has been sweetened with a high-fructose corn syrup and sugar blend. Aside from the other functional ingredients, the lack of artificial sweeteners by itself made us feel relaxed. Plus, it makes for a very pleasant flavor going down, with a very smooth grape flavor that can be gulped without any nasty aftertaste. Ultimately though, this product is about relaxation and its ability to perform is, as with most functional beverages, something that’s probably going to be impacted by a variety of factors concerning the drinker and its use. On the outside, they’ve made a pretty nice looking packaging, with a micro-sized translation of the Drank brand. However, the placement of “Deuce” and “Drank” might make new consumers think that the product is named “Deuce Drank”. Regardless, we like that the “slow your roll” tag has been downplayed on this entry, allowing the brand to get to the point rather than focus on innuendo. Overall, one of the better tasting products to come out of this bottle and the product’s looks and are in line as well.Reviewed on: 9/29/2009
