BevNET Review: While the Duff brand would have had more of an impact if it had been done, say, a decade ago, we think it will still get plenty of publicity off of its relationship with The Simpsons franchise, even as it fades off into the sunset. As far as the product itself goes, it's a novelty product that features -- as any viewer of The Simpsons would expect -- a minimalist design that would otherwise feel generic and cheesy. But they stayed true to the television show, using a simple 12 oz. CSD/beer can. While it doesn't fit in with the energy drink category, we think that it will work for the novelty segment. The effervescent orange flavor is surprisingly good at hiding most of the unpleasant energy-ingredient flavors. Overall, it's a decent product and although it's really a novelty at heart it might also have some value appeal.
