BevNET Review: Peach Elextra-X feels a lot less "me-too" than the original. The flavor is unique and definitely refreshing -- at least as far as energy drinks go. In fact, the body of it tastes much more like a soda than an energy drink. The main difference is that the product has a bit more of that "burning" feeling and a tad bit of an aftertaste. The peach flavor is relatively well done and at this point our main complaint is the rather generic look to the can. The image of the peach seems to conflict with the silver can and the images of the lightning bold. Overall, a decent entry but not necessarily something that will stand out.Reviewed on: 6/2/2004

BevNET Review: Made in Austria and promoting itself as having 20% more energy than Red Bull and a better taste, Elextra-X reeks of being a "me-too" product. Sure, the taste is better than Red Bull, but we are really forced to ask ourselves "why would we drink this product?" Unfortunately, our panel could not come up with a good reason. Sure the product costs 1/3 of Red Bull, but that again says nothing more than this product marketing itself as an immitator. Overall, this is a product that lacks substance and originality.
