BevNET Review: The Citrus Resurgence flavor of Embodi is a 70% juice blend that's designed to give you the benefit of "red wine antioxidants." However, that's a bit fancier sounding than it really is, since the red wine antioxidants are derived by using the extract of grape pomace, which are the leftovers of grapes used in wine making. In addition, the product has pomegranate, pear, apple, and white grape juices which give the drink its fruity body. However, it's the grape pomace that seems to giving this drink it's unique flavor (it tastes like the skin of a wine grape). There's not really any citrus flavor to it, which was a bit of a surprise to us. Packaging is striking and attractive, using an 8 fl oz aluminum bottle. It's a nice format that offers clear differentiation from the crowded energy space, but still emits a strong vibe of functionality. Plus, we like the name "Embodi" -- it's simple, memorable, and feels healthy. Overall, decent taste and health proposition with very attractive packaging.Reviewed on: 7/25/2008

BevNET Review: Like the other flavors of Embodi, this variety blends several fruit juices (pomegranate, pear, apple, white grape), grape pomace, and natural flavors to create its mix. While it's nice tasting, they haven't done enough to differentiate the three flavors from one another. Specifically, we don't taste enough "berry" flavor in this variety to make it feel different than the other flavors, which also use their accent flavor very sparingly. Giving it some actual berry juice -- rather than just flavoring -- might be a good way to solve this. Reviewed on: 7/25/2008

BevNET Review: The final flavor sampled was Embodi's Tropical Revival variety. It uses the same 70% juice mixture as the other flavors, complete with the added antioxidant benefits of grape pomace extract. This time around, they've added tropical fruit flavoring, which doesn't do much for the drink aside from add a slight note to the finish. As cited in the Berry Renewal review, that's our biggest complaint with the drink -- lack of differentiation. Otherwise, it's an enjoyable product to drink and we love the packaging -- but right now it doesn't really merit three nearly identical flavors. Reviewed on: 7/25/2008
