Red Rosebud Tea was the final flavor sampled of the Emma’s Deity trio. While it’s definitely not a bad offering, our concern is that it’s too close in flavor and perception to the Hibiscus Tea variety. The biggest difference is in the sweetness, which is noticeably lower than the Hibiscus offering. The result is a more muted floral flavor, but its flavor is still primarily a floral style flavor: rose. They’ve also added cloves, anise, and vanilla, which gives the product some depth of flavor. However, we still don’t think it’s enough to differentiate from the Hibiscus variety. We’d say the same again for the outside of the bottle, which has a red colored label. Overall, this is a good product, but it’s stuck in the shadow of the superior Hibiscus variety.
