BevNET Review: The Cappuccino flavor delivers the strongest coffee flavor of the lineup, although it's only a slight bit stronger than the Light variety. Made with low fat milk, the product has 140 calories, compared with 170 found in the Mocha and Macchiato and 100 in the Light. Basically, this is the middle of the road in terms of coffee flavor and calorie and fat content. The packaging is identical to the others in the Emmi Caffe Latte lineup, with the differentiator being the darker color scheme. However, we think the dark brown is too close to black, making the "CAPPUCCINO" text on the front panel difficult to read without bright light. Reviewed on: 11/9/2007

BevNET Review: Using fat free milk, this variety delivers the lowest amount of calories (100) and fat (0g) of the entire lineup. It drinks well, with nice notes of espresso and milk flavor balanced by a gentle amount of sweetness. On the other hand, we miss the richness found in the other varieties, but if you really want to shave off 40 calories, then this is still a worthy choice. The sipper top is an attractive plus -- as it is on all four of the flavors -- but we'd really like to see them make the product look a bit more upscale. BevNET Review: Emmi's Macchiato Caffe Late is a lightly sweetened combination of whole milk and espresso. Being whole milk based gives the product a very creamy body, but it's also rather milky in finish. However, it doesn't completely mask the flavor of the espresso, which delivers smooth coffee flavor and a kick of caffeine. Plus, the stronger milk flavor really shows off the clean milk flavor, which doesn't have the burnt finish like many other RTD coffees do. Like the other flavors, the packaging is innovative, but from an aesthetics point of view it is not as attractive as the market leader, Frappuccino. BevNET Review: The Mocha variety of Emmi's Caffe Latte delivers big flavor in a convenient 230 mL package. The rich and creamy body has notes of espresso, milk, and chocolate, balanced in a way the three flavors complement one another perfectly. The peal top container offers a sipper lid, which makes it feel very much like something you'd get at a coffee bar. The only thing missing from the picture is upscale branding, which currently feels like something straight out of the dairy case (which is Emmi's background). If they can give it a makeover, we think this product can do some interesting things in the US market.Reviewed on: 11/9/2007
