BevNET Review: Once again – if Enviga doesn’t work as a calorie burner, or the customers don’t think it will work, this review will be dated pretty quickly. But there are bigger problems with this particular Enviga flavor, as the berry tastes pretty artificial and saccharine. The red stripe and red surfboard/leaf accent makes for a gorgeous can, but if this was the SKU that Coke was depending on to set the standard for Enviga’s taste, we’d be a little less sanguine about its chances for success.

Failed flavor

I'm probably not a fair person to review drinks sweetened with aspartame, but they taste very artificial and bitter to my taste buds. The berry flavor is not so great, and I think Steatz beat them to the green tea soda idea. For the sake of argument, drinking any cold beverage will technically burn calories because your body will have to put out heat to bring it up to your body temperature.

Enviga went flat

I went and purposely purchase this drink today after drinking two Celsius this week and wanted a competitor to compare to Celsius. I must say I fail disappointed with Enviga Berry. Enviga wasn’t as carbonated as Celsius was and thanks for the weakness in carbonation with the very light berry flavor it taste exactly what a soda would taste like if it went flat. I could not figure out if they were aiming to be as carbonated as soda or just flavored berry green tea. I was looking for the satisfying sizzle and Enviga failed in that department with me. There was an after taste I did not care about to much. I give Enviga two stars because if it would have existed three years ago while I was working a high energy job and drinking Red Bull to keep my energy up I would rather choose to drink Enviga instead. Enviga would be tolerable to drink but since Celsius is out I truly believe it makes Enviga taste weak.
