BevNET Review: First, the obvious – the success or failure of this particular product is going to be much more dependent on the buying public’s willingness to believe in its claimed efficacy as “The Calorie Burner” than its label design or flavor. But those two factors are still mighty important, and it looks like, for the most part, the Coke/Nestle partnership got them right with Enviga. It’s a sparkling green tea beverage that does have a fair amount of green tea flavor, as well as a fair level of sweetness that doesn’t collapse into a swirl of chemical aftertastes, mostly because they made the prudent decision to go with an aspartame/Ace-K blend. Enviga has a nice mouthfeel and finishes clean. It’s also got a pleasant, earthy green tea smell. We think Coke did a fine job with the 12-oz. Enviga “tall” can, as well, with surfboard-shaped green tea “leaves” and label writing that clearly lays out the product’s name, function and flavor. Enviga’s got a pretty strong, tangy flavor and we don’t know if that’s going to be too much for those potential consumers who are expected to turn to it for calorie loss. Still, we could think of less pleasant things they could do to drop a pound or two.

Love it!

I love a cup of green tea early in the morning, but I've been disappointed by all the cold green tea options out there. Lipton really did a bad job, in my opinion. So my delight at finding Enviga the first time was tempered by past bad experiences. Warily, I took my first sip. I got hooked! This doesn't taste like a soft drink, or some sort of sugary water flavored with green tea, this tastes like a cold carbonated green tea drink--exactly what it is! I could care less about the calorie burning thing, I don't need it, but I do judge it entirely on its unique flavor! 5 stars from me :)

Not Another Sip....

Alright, some may question my lower-than-average rating, but Enviga green tea is just not very good. With a beautiful can and a "claim" to burn calories, it has nice market appeal. Unfortunately, the flavor gets obnoxious and difficult to down a can. Not to mention the recommended 3 a day, this product almost seems like a chore to drink. Luckilly for me, it was the first and last time. The carbonation is overwhelming and I would much rather stick to regular workouts than the easy way out. Sorry. Final Analysis: Pick up some weights, fatty.

Love It

I bought a 4 pack of the green tea and absolutely love it. I had a lot of energy to get a lot of work done during the day, and it helped to curb my appetite. It may state that you would have to drink 3 cans a day to lose 100 calories, but I found that by drinking one can in the morning, it curbed my appetite so I burned more calories with less food intake. That will be a benefit for me because I am trying to lose weight and have always had a hard time because of always feeling hungry. NOt with this, I don't. Great product. Going to try the other flavors to see it they are as good as the green tea. Try it, you'll love it.

Great!

I feel a rush similar to a cup of coffee drinking this. It tastes great for five calories. I don't know if it really burns calories, but it tasts better than red bull and gives you a boost, so that's a plus right there. I got a case of six for $7, so a little over a dollar each. If you had three a day, which what they recomend to burn 100 calories, you'd be spending about the equivalent of a Starbucks drink, which isn't that bad. Only you'd be buying like 4 cases at a time and that would be kind of strange. But I actually saw a guy doing that and that's what made me want to try it in the first place. I'm hooked.

very good

I love green tea but so many products just don't taste right. This one does get it right. I've stopped drinking regular sodas and I don't care for diet sodas, so the combination of green tea plus carbonation, with only 5 calories, is perfect for me. The sweetner doesn't taste bad at all- a little aftertaste, but it's worth it. It has a very light and refreshing taste overall. After one can, I was hooked! If you're trying to lose weight with this product, don't bother- it states on the can that if you drink 3 cans a day, you'll burn 60-100 extra calories, and there's no extra effect by drinking more than that a day. So you'd have to drink 3 cans a day for a minimum of 35 days to lose only one pound. At $1.49 each, you might as well just get a gym membership. Regardless, this is a great tasting beverage. I think this is only the second drink ever I felt strongly enough to write a review about!

Green Tea made even more drinkable!
5 stars5 stars5 stars5 stars5 stars

First let me say that I love Green Tea. But I also love energy drinks. As much as I love Arizona's Green Tea Energy drink, I just felt like there was something missing. Maybe it's marketing, maybe not, but to me Enviga is the PERFECT Green Tea drink that combines all the factors I'm looking for. Taste=perfect(lighty carbonated Green Tea Goodness), Energy=You bet, and add the ECG whatever it is and calcium and you have a winner on your hands.
